There are approximately 30 parishes involved in the Parish Nurse Program through Seton Health. This is not a hands-on treatment ministry, but more a health promotion, disease prevention, and education. St. Patrick's has a contract with Seton Health and, in turn, they supply the parish with information and will also put on programs of interest to the parish. The role of the parish nurse at St. Patrick's will focus on health education and wellness promotion, and also work as a patient advocate, helping people utilize community services. Blood pressure testing is offered to the parish once a month.
